Privacy Policy

Empowered Tradie ("Empowered Tradie", "we", "us") makes a mobile assistant for tradespeople. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Job & customer dataJobs, schedules, quotes, invoices, materials, suppliers, equipment, and the customer contact details you enter (name, phone, address, notes).
LocationDevice location used for drive-time, route optimisation, geofenced "on the way" status and ETA features — including in the background where you enable it. You control this with your device permissions.
CommunicationsSMS and call activity handled on your behalf (e.g. missed-call replies, ETA texts), message templates, and voice-agent transcripts/recordings where that feature is used.
Device & usageDevice type, app version, push notification tokens, log and diagnostic data.
PaymentsIf you use pay-now links, payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers ("sub-processors") who help us run the app, under contracts that require them to protect it:

5. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure and may be processed by the providers above, some of which are located overseas. Each business's data is logically isolated using row-level security so other businesses cannot access it.

We use measures including encryption in transit, row-level access controls, role-based access (so apprentices and staff only see what they're permitted to), and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.

7. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for any period required to meet legal, tax or accounting obligations, after which we delete or de-identify it.

Empowered Tradie is a business tool intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the new version here and update the date above; significant changes will be notified in-app or by email.
