Getting started

You'll be up and running in an afternoon. No manual, no IT bloke.

  • Download the app on your iPhone or Android phone and create your account.
  • Pick your trade — the app sets up sensible defaults for a plumber, sparky, chippy and so on.
  • Turn features on as you go — each one has a short walkthrough that shows you what it does before it does anything.
Nothing runs until you switch it on. New features arrive switched Off, so the app never surprises you.
🎛️ The one rule that matters

Off, Draft or Autopilot — on every feature

This is the heart of the app. Every automation has three settings, and you choose the level for each one independently.

⏸ Off
It does nothing. The feature is hidden and inactive until you want it.
✍️ Draft
It does the work and prepares it — then waits for you to tap send.
⚡ Autopilot
It handles it end-to-end — but only because you moved it here yourself.

Most tradies start everything on Draft to build trust, then move the things they're comfortable with up to Autopilot over time. You can change any setting at any moment in the Automation hub.

The app never auto-charges a customer's card, and nothing reaches a customer on Draft without your tap — no matter what.

Missed-call text-back & the AI agent

When you can't get to the phone, the moment the call is missed the app texts the customer straight back so the lead doesn't walk to the next bloke.

What it does

  • Texts back missed calls 24/7 and can chat naturally to take the job details.
  • Asks the customer for a photo so you bring the right gear.
  • Books the job into your calendar around what you've already got, and drafts the quote.
  • Lets you listen back to any call and review the transcript.

How to set it up

Open Automation → Call handling. On Draft, replies and quotes are prepared for your approval. On Autopilot, the agent books straight in. Keep your existing number — only the calls you can't answer roll through.

Scheduling & "on my way" texts

The app knows where you are and what's next, and lays out a run that actually fits.

  • Route optimisation orders your jobs to cut driving and fuel.
  • "On my way" ETA texts with a live tracking link fire when you leave for a job.
  • Running late? One tap reshuffles the day and tells everyone affected.

How to set it up

In Automation → ETA texts, choose Draft to tap send each time, or Autopilot to send automatically as you set off.

CarPlay & Apple Watch

The day comes with you — safely, eyes-up, and hands-free.

CarPlay

When your iPhone is connected to the car, Empowered Tradie shows a simple driving screen: your next job, the address, and big Navigate and On my way buttons. No fiddling with the phone behind the wheel.

Apple Watch

A tap on your wrist sends the customer your "on my way" ETA without taking your phone out. Handy when your hands are full or the phone's in the ute.

Privacy & battery: location only runs while you're actively on the way to a job, and switches off the moment you arrive. Android Auto support is on the way.
💸 Get paid

Quotes, invoices & payments

  • Quote on site — build it standing in the customer's kitchen.
  • Invoice in a tap — turn the quote into an invoice when the job's done.
  • Pay-now links — customers pay by card on the spot with a link they can't lose.
  • GST is calculated automatically on every quote and invoice.
Payments are always capped and the app never auto-charges anyone — the customer taps to pay, every time.

Chasing overdue invoices

Following up on money you're owed is the job nobody likes. The app does the awkward part for you.

  • When an invoice passes its due date, the app drafts a polite follow-up text to the customer.
  • The reminders escalate gently the longer it stays unpaid — friendly first, firmer later.
  • You stay the good guy: on Draft you read and tap send; on Autopilot it handles the chase on a sensible schedule.

How to set it up

Open Automation → Overdue reminders and pick your level. It starts on Draft so you see exactly what would go out.

Xero & MYOB sync

Your invoices and payments flow straight to your accounting software — no double entry.

  • Connect once under Settings → Accounting and sign in to Xero or MYOB.
  • Invoices, payments and contacts sync automatically after that.
  • Your accountant sees the same numbers you do, kept up to date.
🧰 Know your gear

Stock, suppliers & equipment register

  • Stock & suppliers — track what's on the van and what's run low, with trade account numbers saved ready to reorder.
  • Equipment register — log every tool you own or hire, with return dates so nothing goes missing.
  • Restock reminders on your route — "grab fittings, the supplier's 2 minutes off your run."
👷 Grow the crew

Apprentices & crew

Bring on a hand without handing over the business.

  • Invite with a code — your apprentice joins in seconds.
  • Role-based access — they see only their assigned jobs and the address. No pricing, no customer numbers, no leads.
  • Drive-time scheduling auto-assigns jobs and pushes supply runs to their phone.
  • Arrivals route to you, the supervisor — not the customer.
